Santa Comes Early To Denver

This past weekend Bruce and Martha Freshley traveled to Denver, Colorado to celebrate the Grand Opening of Williams Jewelers new Englewood store. As you may know from an earlier post, after 40 years across the street, Steve Williams acquired and old bank building site on the corner of Broadway and Belleview just south of downtown Denver. The Grand Opening was a lavish affair with catering by Elway’s Steak House, champagne flowing and several hundred of Williams Jewelers best clients and friends. A long time client of Freshley Media, the two Williams Jewelers stores, Bruce Williams in Cherry Creek and Steve Williams in Englewood, have have truly become Denver’s First Family of Fine Jewelry and a major force in Colorado. The New store is over 13,000 square feet and features an almost 30ft vaulted ceiling, a new Rolex Watch Salon, a huge bridal department featuring brands like Tacori, Verragio and Hearts On Fire…and a cozy den with a fireplace and bar. What has been the response so far? ”It’s been incredible!”, reports Steve Williams” It really is amazing…dozens of new customers every day. The numbers are crazy, we’re breaking record after record! I’m so proud of Shaina, my wife Diane and our whole team! “

This Is The Week!

The Most Important Week of the Year
This is the most important week of the year. Why? Because this is the week that will set the bar for the Holiday selling season. How well you do between now and Sunday will have a huge impact on your final totals. Here is why: This is the week when you and your sales team’s actions have a real impact on sales, because this is the week you can act instead of just react. This is the week to be proactive, to prospect, to reach out to all of your best customers. This is the week you should be delivering holiday greetings and invitations to come to your store. This is the week you call old friends and old customers you haven’t seen in a while. This is the week you go though your customer list and reconnect. This is the week to take action, early- before your customers have decided what to buy the ones they love for Christmas.
One Hour A Day
For the next 10 days, from now until Friday December 8th, make a plan for each day to spend at least one hour every day prospecting on the phone and through email. Here is my promise. For every 5 people you actually talk to, you will make at least one sale. The best of you will sell 2 or 3 people for every 5 you call. You have no idea the power of your relationship with your clients. They love your store and like doing business with you. Most importantly, they love jewelry and giving it as a gift. If they know you, have something already picked out just for them, they would be crazy not to come in and at least see it. I am always flattered when a salesperson I like, from a store I like, gives me a call. It makes me feel special and important. It puts me in the holiday spirit and makes my shopping easy!
Time is precious during the Holidays

Don’t waste your customers’ time. As you go through your prospect list, pick out specific pieces in the store that fit each client perfectly, items you know they will love. Be their secret shopper, Santa’s little helper. That is your job, right? Then pick up the phone and start calling. Again, the more thought you give, the better the return. Your client’s time is precious. Remember, for many of your customers, money is not the issue… it’s more about how meaningful, how precious the gift will be. It’s your job to make this Christmas morning unforgettable.

The last two weeks you will be too busy to be proactive. Start now. Start Today! Make this the best Christmas Selling Season of your jewelry career!

The new Rolex watch corner really completes the store which includes a huge round center island surrounded by a Bridal Area and David Yurman Boutique. It’s Not Too Late!!

Holiday Social Media Planning That Delivers!
Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, Chanukah, New Years! The holidays are right around the corner. If you haven’t started your holiday marketing campaign yet, it’s not too late! Here
are five things you can do today to launch your holiday, social media marketing campaign.1. Social Media Cover Images
Update your social media cover images to reflect the holiday season or your holiday marketing campaign. Holiday cover image themes include:
  • Photos depicting the holidays or the season
  • Your holiday promotion or sale information
  • Team members enjoying the holidays
  • Holiday greetings or messages to your followers

2. Schedule Your Holiday Social Media Posts
Not every store has holiday promotions or events, but most will want to send holidays wishes to their followers (i.e. customers/potential customers). Use a social media scheduling tool to pre-schedule your holiday social media posts so they aren’t overlooked or forgotten.
3.  Write Your Holiday Social Media Calendar
Grab a cup of coffee, a quiet corner and a calendar and write down your holiday social media plan on the calendar.

4.  Curate A #HolidayHashtag
